Declaration Of State Of Emergency In Kazakhstan

The Board of Directors (“Board”) of REB wishes to announce that the Government of Kazakhstan has on 5 January 2022 declared a two weeks’ state of emergency in Almaty and the western Mangistau province, where Emir-Oil LLP, the Company’s sub-subsidiary is located. The state of emergency includes curfew, movement restrictions, ban of mass gatherings and internet disruptions.

The cumulative effects might contribute to a shortfall and impact the Company financially and operationally. The Company is unable to ascertain the full financial and operational impacts at this juncture due to uncertain situation in Kazakhstan.

The Board will make further announcement on the financial and operational impacts as well as consequences in relation thereto as and when there is new development on this matter.
